Built in the mid 80's it has often been slated as being as "pedestrian Grand Prix" due to the slowness of the circuit. Even with the removal of the esses in 89 it is still a slow old track, second only to Monaco. Consequently you shouldn't expect too much action in terms of overtaking (exceptions have been Ralph Schumacher who stormed from last to fourth in 2003) And there is a fair likelihood that the pole sitter after qualifying will be running on vapours to make sure they are out at the front. The track is rarely used, so its always pretty dusty to start off with.
